The Two Songs

There are two songs, both of them are about memorable love; one is Westlife’s “Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You” and the other is Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On.” However, their melody, the background of the song and the feeling for listeners are different. The former is just one of the singer’s albums, nothing extra elements such as movie or TV program for this song make listeners associate with them when they listen to the song. The lyrics and the melody make listeners seem to have joyful love. It is due to the lively tune that makes listeners feel relax and pleasant. The latter, in contrast, is the song from the famous movie, “Titanic”, so, we will associate it with the movie when we listen to this song. It makes listeners sorrowful because of its slow and sad tune in such a tragic movie. Whether joyful or sorrowful, lively or slow, both of them are really beautiful songs with moving tune. (164)
