This Semester...

I began to minor in International Trade this semester. Most students who want to minor in other subject should begin to study it from the sophomore year. But I determined to have my minor subject this year. I was thinking which subject is better and more useful to me. Then, I found that I am really interested in the subjects of Commerce. So I began to minor in International Trade. It was really difficult to me to learn the totally different subjects and to major in English and minor in International Trade was driving crazy at the very first. My homework and schoolwork have doubled but my time after school have become less and less. I needed to redistribute my time and the whole schedule. My life was a complete mess at that time. I did not know how to arrange for my time and even ordinary routine. I was busy in studying, having my part-time job, and finishing the homework of all subjects. And I had to prepare four presentations at same time. I was almost crying. After one of my presentation which made me very depressed, the most depressed one, I called my mother and asked for her listening. At that time, it seemed that I had not done anything good and worthy to be praised. But my mother told me that I just need to try my best and forget the adverse comments. She also told me not to afraid to making different and not to be afraid of making mistakes. Her saying let me know that even on one thinks that I can do it; I should never give up my goals.
After having a talk with my mother, I realized that I should not think poorly of myself before I have done something good. Now, I can arrange my time well and I can make all the things in order. Having the minor subject makes me learn more things. The first thing is that I learned how to arrange my schedule well. The second, I also learned to having a better lifestyle because I learned how to spend my free time and how to saving the time. The third, I learned a lot of knowledge about finance and commerce. I can appreciate the meaning of the saying “No pain, no gain” completely now. I hope that I have spent more time on the other subject then I can get more in responses in the future. (410 words)
