The Book Club of Bible Literature

I attended the first literature book club on April 28. The topic was Genesis 1-3. I did not expect that the group discussions would be that popular. A group of freshmen thought it was unfair that God made the man before the woman. Why did the woman was created to help the man? Another group of senior said that God was bored so He created human beings to “play”. It was interesting to hear different viewpoints. One of our questions was that Eve was created from a rib of Adam’s. Do you know that which side of the rib? A senior replied that we could ask the other male classmates to count their ribs. One side of their ribs supposed to be one fewer than us. I felt astounded as I heard this answer. (133)
