LADY GAGA PAYS TRIBUTE TO BULLIED FAN

At her recent performance, Lady Gaga dedicated the song "Hair" to the 14-year-old boy, who took his own life, after becoming a victim of bullying. Taking it to her heart, Gaga expresses her will to fight on against bullying and her plan to take the issue to the president.

　If only he was here to hear it. Jamey Rodemeyer from Buffalo, New York, an once Lady Gaga zealot, committed suicide at the age of 14 last week, after being bullied by his classmates for year for his sexual orientation.

　To remember the late gay teen, Lady Gaga paid tribute to Rodemeyer by singing the song "Hair" at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas last weekend.

　Before ending his life, Rodemeyer sent the musician a message on Twitter saying "@Lady Gaga:Bye, mother monster. Thank you for all you have done. Paws up forever."

　Rodemeyer's mother said, "besides family, Lady Gaga was the biggest influence in his life."

The young individual was laid to rest in a Lady Gaga t-shirt by his family, forever carrying his idol's message of "Born This Way" with him. As strong as the words are, it still failed to do its job of putting a stop to the tragedy.

“Bullying” is a popular topic in the world. We can always hear about bullying events on news. If we ask someone “Have you ever been bullied or know others been bullied?” They answer must be “Yes, I have.” How a fearsome thing is. Generally, the victims are not to say or find someone for help. They endure everything by themselves. And they feel dread everything in life. Uncommonly, the victims are making a choice to die. They refuse to talk about it if they have been bullied because it is a nightmare for them. Bullying has caused psychological trauma in their heart.

    Someone who have been bullied in the pass time, they overcome the problems and even becomes more successful than others. For example, Lady Gaga and Lin Yu Chun are the victims of “bullying”. Lady Gaga was a weird girl in college. Her classmates did not like her so no one wants to make friend to her. They also mocked Lady Gaga in verbal way. But she has not been defeated in her life. She uses the experience as the strength. After that period, Lady Gaga concentrates her attention on music. She listens to music, composes the song and performs the show in club. Now, she is a super star in the world. The same experience as Lin Yu Chun has. He was fat and ugly in childhood. No one wants to be his friend and tells him how to do it. In his despair, he saw Susan Boyle singing in the American’s show. He said “Before Susan Boyle singing, audience are not pay attention to her. But when she starts to sing, everyone was shocked. Even she is not good-looking, she has an amazing voice. In that moment, Susan Boyle gives me a lot of courage.” Finally, he decided to participate Taiwan’s show, he is an international singer in the world. Lady Gaga and Lin Yu Chun do not give up the life because of bullying event. Music helps them to escape from pain.

    When I saw the news, I felt painful. Unfortunately, no one can save him in early time. I believe that if someone tries to help him a favor he can keep going in his life. Of course, bullying is not a correct behavior. The most important thing is the way we face it. It is not worth to die because of bullying. There are three methods to overcome the problem. The first one is tell someone that you need a help. We cannot just keep in silence and do nothing. The second one is do exercises. Running or playing basketball can release our pressure. The third one is concentrate on one thing. If we concentrate on one thing or something that we are interest in, we will forget what we encounter the difficulties. Bullying can make people hopeless also can make people stronger. Successful or not, it depends on how your view point is.

    In Lady Gaga’s concert, she sings the song “Hair” to Jamey Rodemeyer. A boy who named Jamey Rodemeyer was a victim of bullying. The lyrics of “Hair” describe the person who wants the freedom like the hair. He stands enough everything and just wants to be himself for prayer. Lady Gaga said “Bullying is the behavior of the weak. Also, this tragedy is a lesson to everyone.” In Taiwan, there are a few schools occurs bullying incident. Some schools do not want to expose the thing because of school’s reputation. They intent to cover the thing that wants to reduce the importance. The more problems we hide it, the more results we bear it. If we are not focus on this issue, the more people will use extreme way. So, let us more care about the “bullying”. (total:627)
