Every year, my family went to Ken ting visiting my grandparents in the winter vacation. We had a family reunion dinner, let off firecrackers with our cousins, cleaned my grandparents’ house and pasted the Spring Festival couplets as usual. But this year, I did something extra different. I helped my aunt in the Ken ting night market. My aunt and uncle were vendors who operated a stall to selling roasted sausages and pork. My cousins and I arranged a shooting game next to them. I realized how tired when working in a night market. Being a well known spot of tourists, it was really bustling during a vacation in the Ken ting night market. We should get the machines and the things all we need ready at about three p.m. before the stream of people increased, but cleaned up late. We usually came home at about two o’clock and extremely fatigued. We explained the rules of the game and taught them how to use the machines again and again when new customers came, including those people without interest to our game. And I should remember all the different kinds of prize they rewarded. Sometimes, we should comfort the little children who did not satisfy with their prize. The customers who tried to bargain were always hard to cope with. And I got nervous when the machines were destroyed by some rude customers. But I still learned a lot and had fun during this work. I also made new friends. I felt so happy when getting my first salary. It was an unusual and unforgettable experience in this winter vacation. And I am now thinking to help with my aunt in the next vacation.
