Last Wednesday, our computer teacher told us to hand out a photomontage. We had learned how to use Photoshop this semester. It was a graphics editing program that serves for media editing and animation. We can edit or add many kinds of special efficacy on our photographs by using it. Nowadays, Photoshop is widely used on the pictures of every Websites. The teacher told us that we could compose any kinds of pictures with our self-portrait. I thought it was an interesting homework because in the photomontage, we could become the heroes we admired or visited any places. Some students shook hands with famous actors and the others even landed on the Moon in their photomontage. I spend lots of time thinking where or who could I compose with. Finally, I put myself in the movie poster of “Alice in Wonderland.” The movie was directed by Tim Burton. It is the sequel of the fairy tale “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.” I had read this fairy tale when I was a little girl. So when the movie was in theaters, I felt excited and could not wait to see. In the film, Alice has already grown up and attended a garden party. The Lord Ascot proposed to Alice unexpected. Unsure of how to reply, she ran away and chased after a white rabbit in a waistcoat. She fell into a hole and returned to Wonderland again accidently. She was told that she was the only one who can kill the dragon, Jabberwocky, which was controlled by the Red Queen and gave the power back to the White Queen. On her way, she encountered the Cheshire Cat, Dormouse, Mad Hatter and March hare. And they helped her to fight with the Red Queen. In my photomontage, I joined their troops and used my index finger pointing at the Red Queen. I was happy when the teacher praised my assignment. He told me that I was careful on the editing of my photo and I have made a well down homework.
