This summer vacation

I was going to have an exchange life this summer vacation, but it was too late. It should prepare the year before last. My family was disappointed that I did not grab that opportunity to go to another country. They think my English will become better after I went to another country or basically the speaking skill. My parents hope I can develop my English skills so as to get a better job. It is truly a sorrow that I didn’t get that opportunity. I was wondering around the school and I saw a poster. It was about going abroad and being a volunteer. It caught my attention immediately and I read about the details on the poster. I began to search for the information about it. Finally I found that it was held by an organization called AIESEC. It has a variety of projects and different countries for us to choose. There are many countries like Egypt, Columbia, China and etc. I thought that this is another opportunity and I can’t miss this time. So I contacted the person in charge for advice. It was a coincidence that the person in charge is my friend. We joined the English summer camp together when we were fresh men. We had a conversation about their mechanism and the purpose of the project. He went to Cambodia this winter vacation and he had a big change. I have not contact with him after that English summer vacation, but one of my classmates has kept in touch with him and noticed the change. My classmate said he became open-minded and talkative. I can tell this from the conversation we had. It was really an inspiring conversation and I wish to go as soon as possible. I choose Egypt as my destination. Although it is first time for me to go by myself, I still choose a far-away country. In my opinion, since I was going out for an adventure I should choose a country which is not familiar to me. My parents were not comfortable with my decision in the beginning. They are doubtful about the organization and worried about if I am fooled or not. I kept talking with them and even showed them the information I got. I told them it was an opportunity since I can go abroad for studying. I still can take this opportunity for a life-changing experience. I told my parents there are many projects for me to choose and I will have an interview with the local manager. A few days later, I had an interview with the local manager. Luckily I passed the interview and got the job which I am interested in. The project is about teaching English in an orphanage. I will have to combine English into different categories and make the lesson interesting. I think the teaching part is not that hard. The hard point us I will have to teach in English and make children understand what I am saying. I had a pre-event meeting and met many people who are going to Egypt as me. We had conversations and I knew much better about going there. Every time I get prepared to this plan, I feel much more excited about it. I think I can learn a lot from this trip and become a more independent person. Give myself a chance to look into myself and see the weakness inside me. Overcoming it and becoming a better person.
