For or Against Capital Punishment

Are you for or against capital punishment? From ancient times to this day, capital punishment seems to be essential and no doubt exist in the world. The people in the ancient times even in the modern times think without hesitation that they approve the existence of capital punishment. They may not think why capital punishment exists, or whether capital punishment should exist, even there are some punishments horrible than capital punishment. Recently, there are some people who start to discuss whether capital punishment is necessary for us human beings. There are two sides of this question. One is for capital punishment, and the other is against capital punishment. In my opinion, capital punishment is necessary and essential to our constitution and society and the following paragraphs will show you the reasons why not to abolish capital punishment is necessary and important.
As long as we do not abolish capital punishment, we can get benefits from it. Not to abolish capital punishment can maintain the peace and justice of our society. Some people think certainly that capital punishment is indispensable; if we abolish capital punishment, the society will be in a mess. I think everyone is afraid of the death. We human beings are all afraid of the things which will jeopardize and harm our life. In this way, we dare not to do the evil things. And if someone kills the people whom we love or like, capital punishment can substitute for us to punish the killer. Then we can get some consolations.
Not to abolish capital punishment can warn people not to do the evil things. If we do the most heinous crime, we will be put to jail and be judged capital punishment. We should think about our parents, family, and the people who love us; if we are dead, how miserable they will feel.
On the other hand, there are still some people who are against capital punishment. Some consider that capital punishment is cruel, and we should see things through other’s eyes and give an opportunity to the people who commit crimes. The others think that no one can control other’s life. They think that everyone has the leading right of their own life, others should not make decision for them. Others have no right to end their life. However, we should think that if what a criminal commits is a serious crime, just like killing people, would we forgive him or her? Not to mention the victim is the person whom we love or like. Anyone can well imagine that it is unforgivable.
In conclusion, without capital punishment, we will be exposed to the danger; with it, we will have a wonderful life. Since the criminals have already murdered someone, they must have to have the courage and determination to shoulder the consequences instead of expecting our sympathy. To sum up, capital punishment is the last medium to preserve the justice. It is momentous and imperative to our life and society; we should not abolish it.
