Beastly

Have you ever seen the Disney cartoon “Beauty and the Beast?” Today I want to admire a movie, which is the modern model of Beauty and the Beast. This movie is called Beastly. I have seen it with my friend recently. It is a story discusses about beauty and ugly, the way of love. The story begins at a vote for the leader of students. The main character, Kyle, has a speech to talk why other students should choose him. When he talks, he always looks down of those who do not have the beautiful face. Although most students do not the way he treats with others, he does not care about it. Because of his personality, he offends a girl who is a witch in their school. She wants to punish and teach him one thing that he cannot disrespect others just because of their appearances and she also wants him to know how to love and what is love. She makes him become an ugliest person in the world and tell him that he only has one year to find his true love or he will be an ugly person forever. Because of this big change, his dad arranges him to a far place and lies to him that he will overcome this problem with Kyle. After day and day, he still does not appear so Kyle is so angry and sad. He decides to go out to do something to attract his dad’s notice. However, when Kyle finds out his friends, he hears that they are talking about him. He also knows about one true that there is nobody really like him even his friend or girlfriend; he is so struck. All of them are just pretend they like and respect him. When he despairs about all the things, one girl, Linda, comes to his world. Because of one event, he has a chance to get along with her. Gradually, he starts to think and do things for others. He also fells in love with her but he does not have any courage to tell that girl he loves her. Because of his fear, he even wants to give up once. However, he does not know Linda does not care about he is handsome or ugly. If they are true love for each other, all the things is not important, except mind. Because of Linda, Kyle understands how to love and treat other people. Finally, the end of this story is as same as the fairy tale “Beauty and the Beast”; his face changes into the original one and they live happily with each other forever. And the most interesting thing is the ending is that witch comes to Kyle’s father’s office to make him have a chance to do the same thing as his son does before. And the reference is his son, Kyle. So all the viewer can know what will happen on his dad later. Although this movie is a little short, I can learn much from it. (504)
