Are You for or against Coeducation

Coeducation is discussed by many people, and coeducation has been the subject of much controversy. But no one can deny that is has become a trend over these last years. Although I was in high school for girls, I think coeducation is not bad. In my opinion, I think coeducation have advantages and disadvantages. Some people still do not agree coeducation.

Our society is composed of males and females. I am in favor of practicing coeducation in high school. In this way, boys and girls will have more chances to learn how to get along well with the opposite sex so that they can live a very interesting school life. There are many differences between boys and girls in terms of character and hobbies. I think coeducation will provide better surroundings for them to know more about each other. By doing so, they will achieve mutual understanding and respect to each other. Studying in a coed school not only helps young people learn from each other but also helps them get rid of their bad habits. In order to become popular among the peer group, boys and girls will adapt themselves to one another. Besides, they will try their best to get rid of their bad habits to win the friendship of the opposite sex.

Some people do not like coeducation. They consider students have to study hard. They think coeducation would influent students. They consider some students maybe have girlfriend or boyfriend to distract their study. They also think in the coed school many girls would focus on their appearance. Many parents disagree their children have girlfriend or boyfriend in high school, so sometimes they would not let their children to read the coed school.

I was in high school for girls. Actually, when I was a freshman in the college, I do not know how to get along with boys. I cannot understand what the man thought. Until now, I am still shy to get along with the boy. I hope I could change. To sum up, I think coeducation is not bad. I do not think so that coeducation would influence the study. Even in the high school for girls or boys, they still do not have good grades if they do not want to study. (379 words)
