The bookstore

On my way to home yesterday afternoon, I stopped at a bookstore to kill time. I usually kill time by reading book in the bookstore. In the store, I glanced through a new book that describes that an exploration of the joys and perils of the modern workplace. People wake up to do each day and night and to make the frenzied contemporary world function. I was on the point of leaving when I spotted another interesting book. This one was about traveling in Portugal. There are full-color photography and a host of practical information, which also include descriptions of local sites, restaurants, hostels, shops, and nightspots. Also, there are local itineraries and shopping suggestions, travel suggestions, transportation options, and colorful maps. From time to time, I had thought about taking a vacation and visiting Portugal. But all of my plans were to no purpose because I was too poor to have money. Therefore, I couldn’t go abroad. But a summer vacation would do me good. I was longing for holidays. Although I couldn’t go abroad, I could travel in South Taiwan. For all my city ways, I am a country girl at heart. I knew that I should not devote myself only to amusements, but I had got to dedicate the whole life to studying if I wanted to go abroad.
