When I typed the two words plagiarism and academic honesty on the Google web, I found out over 1,000 pages which let us know the important opinions and policies about plagiarism and academic honesty. After I searched these webs, I choose two webs to know plagiarism and academic honesty's meanings well. I think exist of academic is due to plagiarism. Plagiarism is using someone's works as your own works, and then the academic honesty appears, hoping everyone not do this academic offense. No matter whom you are, a student or a teacher, no one can be accepted to do the plagiarism nowadays. Plagiarism is being as crime. But why does　　someone still do this thing? The articles I found told us, for example, students being expected to do the report or assignments well, but they had not much time or they thought they did not have good ability to do their homework very well, so they started to search some information on the Internet. Because students did not notice this is a crime behavior, academic honesty appears. Academic honesty policies want to tell public, especially students, doing plagiarism is very serious crime action. Public must obey the academic policies, for example, students must do homework by them self. Although students can search some useful information for their report, students still cannot copy all the information. If one copy other's work, one will become stupid, because one's brain will work slowly. Teachers are playing important roles; they must tell student that academic dishonesty will be condoned. Doing homework is student's responsibility. Thinking something by oneself will make oneself smarter.
