An Experience to Prepare a Camp

Preparing the camp is very tough, but I choose it to increase my experience. When I was a freshman, I heard a team that need to lead a camp. I was very curious, so I decided to participate it. At beginning, I felt it was a fun place, because I saw the camp fire and was very touched. Finally, I wrote a form to participate this plan. In order to prepare a camp had better than others; it needed some programs to train us. I learned how to lead a game, writes POP, let the mood high, act the drama and lead members to follow us. It had many things to learn. Rest of things, we had to learn in the camp, because it always had a situation which happened suddenly. At that time, we needed to think a good way to handle it, because members are elementary students. We often met surprised things. Up grade classmates say children like evils, not angels. All of us were nervous and doubt ourselves whether we could lead this camp, so we practiced more and more to handle every situations that we might be met. Besides these activities we had to learn. We also learned to write a plan. Like me, I had to write morning exercise. Although I chose this plan by myself, I found it was hard to think a perfect plan. We were not only to write but also to create some movements that children learned easily. That’s a tough time for me. I remembered I couldn’t take pressure anymore, so I cried heavily. Our leader comforted me for a long time to reassure my emotion. Fortunately, I met children who were like angels, and they liked me a lot. I thought it was valuable to practice it. After that, I knew that preparing a camp was very difficult. It had many people to help. It also had to plan it very well. Maybe I have other opportunities to prepare a camp. I will say yes, because it will be a valuable thing for me.
