Immigration When it comes to immigration, there have always been many different opinions, some people say it is a good thing for Taiwan but some people say it is bad for Taiwan because immigrants coming will bring more problems to Taiwan such as the lack of working opportunities or some social problems which could cause some negative events happening and because these negative events happened makes people feel more antipathy to immigrants then try to use many ways to attack them and against them to come to Taiwan. People have two kinds of views on immigration in terms of work; some hire immigrants to be their employees and they work for employees for many hours and only have few days to take a break. Employers do not pay immigrants high wages, so they can choose cheaper employees to work for them. They do not need to spent a lot of money to hire local Taiwanese worker without them those employers still can manage their factories or companies. Compared to these two kinds of workers, employers prefer to hire immigrants to be their employees. Other people, especially the Taiwanese, think that if the immigrants come to Taiwan, they will decrease working opportunities of the Taiwanese nationals because they are cheaper than the Taiwanese workers and they also worry about immigrants who might bring some negative problems to our country. For example, they might fight or argue with people and sometimes it has become a major social event, and makes people feel bad about them. So, people always think immigrants are troublemakers and that is why people do not welcome them to our country. Actually, when I turn on the television, I can see some news reports about immigrants and I feel sad for them because they have come to a country that is far away from their home and the reason that they come here is to earn some money to raise their family, but some people just do not understand what they have been through so they keep using the law to make things difficult for them. In my opinion, I think this is not correct and we should learn to respect immigrants and consider their situation. To sum up, I think all those problems should be tackled by our government who should be more responsible and more attentive to the problems that immigrants endure. In short, Taiwan should be a place where immigrants can enjoy a warm and friendly environment we need to have sympathy for immigrants because they have tried very hard to come to here to work they have to bear the sad to leave their family members and come to here alone, they are the only person in their family that can earn money to raise his or her family so when we saw them or work with them we all need to be kind and can not have any prejudice in them. 英4B林哲寬 英文作文(三) 487
