CPBL (Chinese Professional Baseball League) was in the “Dark Age” for a long time, because of the “drug.” The drug using players made people don’t trust almost all the player in the CPBL. After the third WBC (World Baseball Classic), Chinese Taipei team brought a lot of people back to watch CPBL. The Chinese Taipei team had a good performance. In the same time Manny Ramirez joined the team in the CPBL called “E-DA Rhinos.” Manny Ramirez is the best record player from MLB (Major League Baseball) to join in CPBL history. He wasn’t show the skill in MLB but also help his whole team get better on hitting the ball. Once Taiwan got a super star from MLB, the CPBL was like getting second spring. More and more people came to buy tickets and went to baseball field watch games. In my opinion, Manny Ramirez joined CPBL was the best news I have ever heard from Taiwanese baseball. The “Manny’s Effect” can attract a lot of people. I hope he can stay in Taiwan as long as he can. His teammates persuaded him to buy a house in Taiwan. This was maybe a good idea to make him stay in Taiwan. Having Manny in CPBL not only can make his team get better but also can make our national sport reborn. Taiwanese like baseball because baseball is our best sport. I watched CPBL since I was an elementary school student. I love baseball and I hope the soul of baseball will never die in Taiwan.
