After Reading The Biblical Story

    I had ever read The Hebrew Bible in Introduction to Western Literature class. After reading The Hebrew Bible, I think the third part in first chapter is my favorite portion. I am interested in the content of the story, because it reached a climax in this part. In contrast, I would like to read exciting part than thoughtful description.

    This story is about a cunning serpent tempted Eve to eat the fruit who is not allowed to eat by God and tried to legalize her action. Finally, Eve give in to serpent’s persuasive argument. Not only that, she also share it with her husband. However, God knew everything. Serpent, Eve and Adam all be punished by God. After all, man proposes, God disposes.

    As far as I am concerned, I have many questions about it in fact. If I could communicate with Lord God, I want to ask him why he wanted to have the serpent and Eve to attack each other; this would lead to more wars, isn’t it? Why did he use these cruel ways to discipline them? Everyone has curiosity, not right? In my impression, God would forgive everyone and give them a chance, not really? If he didn’t want them to know good and evil, why did he plant that tree? These questions make me confused awfully! If i could meet Lord God, I would try every means possible to gain the best answer!(238)
