Should the roll call system exist?

Does the teacher have the authority to determine whether students who often absence on the class, can take an exam or not? It is essential to practice the roll call system. As a university student, I think the roll call system is needed. If the roll call system were not existed, I would seldom go to school. Because teachers do not care about the rate of our attendance, I can just take the note from our classmates. I think often absence in the class is not a good attitude to be a student. If I seldom go to school I am only waste my parents’ money, but also my time. The roll call system can cultivate our good habit. Teachers have the roll call at the beginning of the class. It will push us to go to school on time. There are a lot of benefits to go to school on time. I can choose a good place to sit. I can listen very carefully about what the teacher say. I don’t need to worry about the view of the blackboard. Arrived punctually at the school is a good habit, this good habit will help you to be an on time employee. Some students do not agree with the roll call system. They claim that they can get good grades on the exam even they do not go to school. They can study by themselves, instead of going to school. They argue that teachers should not prohibit them to take the test, just because they have low rate of attendance. Some students think they are adults, they have the right to choose whether they need to go to school or not. Actually, most students who seldom come to school cannot get the all pass on the exam. Students are easily to give themselves excuses. Because they feel headache, they want to have a rest at home. Because they stay up late, they will go to school until they sleep enough. Because they had a part time job last night, they cannot get up early in the morning. All schools should practice the roll call system exactly. It can push us to go to school every day. If we go to school every day, we can listen carefully about what the teacher say, and we don’t need to spend much time to review our homework. The roll call system is a warning.
