the kill, or die?

After I read this article, I have to confess that I don’t get every meaning in this paragraph. But basically it is about cell therapy. This article had mentioned that as our technology getting more and more improved, it is possible to regenerate our nerve system or brain damages.
The idea of human cloning comes to me whenever I heard someone is talking about cell therapy or stem cell stuffs. You might ask me: this is just cells; it is not big deal at all! I will say, it is just a beginning. Latter on, people will clone organs, then, probably human beings.
And it comes with a big religion problem; can we play the role of the creator? Can we be “god?” I have saw some movies talking about cloning human beings and all of those movies make me think: can we decide who to live, who should give their organs, or who should give their life to?
Obviously it is such a paradox. We need this cell therapy to help us live longer, and healthier, but, if we clone organs, then it will against the rule. Are we doing the right thing? Or we are on the way of catastrophe we made by ourselves?
