Homosexuality

I don’t like homosexuality when I was senior or junior, although I have those friends who are homosexuality. Because since I was a child, all the message we got is man would marry woman. No matter the fairy tales or cartoon or the show on television, boys always like girl, and they would live happily. So, when I first time hear that boys love boys or girls love girls, I feel very disgusting. In senior, I met a friend; he said that he likes boys. I was totally shucked. But I don’t hate gays or lesbians. I just couldn’t figure out what they are thinking about. I still treat them as usual friend. After entering the college, I met a gay. Some people might afraid of telling others that they are gays, but my friend told me when we are not familiar with each other very well. We became good friends after knowing each other very well. He told me many things about his boyfriend and him. I stated understanding that homosexuality just like normal people. They love the people just like normal people love each other. My friend is a boy, but his mind and act just like girl, even much tender than many girls, but his appearance is really handsome. He totally change the impression of homosexuality in my mind, I recognized how conservative I was before. When I was junior high school student, my friends asked me a question “If your daughter or son is homosexuality, what would you do?” “I would like to kick him/her out of house.” I answered at that time. But now I would never answer like that. I would accept him/her. The singer Eminem hates gays before, he also writes many songs to dig gays. But recently, he accepts homosexuality, and he also support they could marry. But his reason is pretty funny. He said that marriage is painful, homosexuality also need to experience that pain. If Taiwan’s teacher started to teach the right concept about homosexuality, maybe more and more people would understand that homosexuality is normal. Maybe one day, homosexuality marriage is legal in Taiwan. (362 words)
