The City I like Most

The city I like most in Taiwan is Taipei, where I have been living for more than twenty years. I love Taipei because of it diversity. There are many places we can visit depending on our interest. Although Taipei is notorious for its terrible traffic, we can take MRT to anywhere. MRT is so convenient. I have my favorite haunts. I like to visit bookstores. One of my favorites is Eslite Bookstore, where I can buy the newly released books and magazines. I also like to go to Rose Records with my friends because in that store I can always find the CDs I like.

Sometimes I go to the Warner Village Cinema Center to see movies. The theaters in that center always play the latest movies and the sound system is very modern. If you prefer Chinese traditional art, the National Palace Museum will be a good choice. In addition, the National Theater and Concert Hall present various kinds of classical music and serious plays all year round. And there is one famous aspect of Taipei life we just can’t miss: eating out. In a night market, we can spend less than a hundred dollars enjoying different traditional Taiwanese foods. Sometimes my parents will take us to experience delicious dishes at a fancy restaurant. I think the best thing is to go to “all-you-can-eat” buffet restaurants. We can eat to our heart’s content and have a lot of fun there.

Many foreigners also like Taipei. With Taipei 101 – the highest skyscraper in the world as well as many traditional buildings, we can feel the city’s variety and vitality everywhere. (270 words)
