My Favorite Book “ A Thousand Splendid Suns”.

My favorite book is “ A Thousand Splendid Suns”. This book is about a fifteen years old misbegotten girl –Maryann, she born in a Muslim traditional country- Afghanistan. She lived in a shabby house with her mother. Her father is a rich merchant but he didn’t foster Maryann who is his illegitimate daughter. After Maryann’s mother died, she was compelled to marry a 40 years old shoes merchant. Her marriage started her tragedy life.
After twenty years, a young girl- Lyra who is the second wife of the shoes merchant came into this family. Lyra is a girl who born in middle class home, so she got good education before. But her parent was die in the war, so she had no choice to marry the shoes merchant to survive. Although the difference in age between Maryann and Lyra is nineteen years old, they became the good partner. They were not only like a sister but also a mother and a daughter. Finally, they couldn’t bore their husband’s violence behaviors anymore, so they screwed up their courage to against their husband. It also symbolizes that they challenged Muslim traditional.
This story inspired me that our life is so wonderful than the pass. Men and woman ‘s position had been equal now. Whatever we are a men or a women, we should respect to each other. This is the biggest harvest after I read this book.
