Titanic

About a few months ago, I visited an exhibition of Titanic in Taipei. I could say that everyone knows the movie of Titanic, but nobody knows that why did Titanic deeply affect people in 1910s. After touring this life show of Titanic at National Taiwan Science Education Center, I totally realized! And before I visited the exhibition, I watched the Titanic movie to taste again the most romantic story.
As we mention the best ship in the world, we would definitely blurt out Titanic. The company that built Titanic was White Star Line and it was a British company; their most famous ocean liner was Titanic. In this exhibition, we can see the timeline of Titanic and the inside decorations of the ship.
Before getting into the place, every passenger would get a boarding pass. On the back of the boarding pass, there would be a brief introduction of one of the real passengers on Titanic. Mine was an 18 years old woman who was called Leah Rosen, the reason why she took Titanic was: Leah and her son Frank were traveling to America to reunite with her husband, Sam, who had established a tailor shop in Norfolk, Virginia. Leah and her son, who was only ten months old, were in the third-class cabin which was the lowest cabin in Titanic. when I got this boarding pass, the only thought was: I hope everything would be alright for this young mother and her son, but I still cannot control their lives.
The most special thing in the exhibition was that there was a book included the lived passengers and the dead, so we can find out at the end that whether the passenger on our boarding pass was alive or not. Luckily, Leah and her son were on the live list. Because of the rule when the accident happened on the Titanic was: Help the women and the children first!
Titanic was sailing from England to America, and it was during 1910s. The 1910s was a decade of great change fro America, such as a huge amount of immigration there and children labor problems, and it was the time that the end of the World War I as well. In my opinion, I think people brought hopes to the United States and also brought on the Titanic, because the passengers on the Titanic not only the celebrities but also third-classes. I think Titanic was a symbol of hopes, but unfortunately, it had a sadness ending. But the most meaningful thing was that every passengers on this ship all has a story in their mind, and that will last forever and ever.
