A Super Hero

When I was a child, my mom often talked to me that I had to donate money or did something good to help poor people as possible as I could in the future. My mom also talked to me that without a lot of money and great abilities, I could still help people those who really needed the help in the world. I thought the second thing which my mom talked was more important than the first one. But, I forgot it when I grew up gradually. However, there was a woman, named Chen Shu-chu, appearing few months ago. Miss Chen was a common vegetable seller in Taitung. She could not make a lot of money by the job. But she donated a mount of money and did lots of good things to feed back the society and help poor people. And the quantity was out of imagination to many people. Because of her selfless dedication, she was selected as one of the “heroes” in this year’s TIME magazine’s annual 100 Most Influential People in the World. And she also became the most famous super star in Taiwan very soon. By the way, there was an interesting and perplexing thing. Until now, Miss Chen did still not know why she would be selected to get the honor. In the short conversations between the reporter and Miss Chen, I deeply felt that Miss Chen was really a kind person. I had no choice but to say that she touched my heart very much. And I could not believe that she could give up the chance of marriage just for taking good care of her family. But it really was a truth. I thought that she must muster a lot of courage to make the decision at that time. Because of her appearance and selfless dedication, she made me recall the important conception which my mom talked to me. And the true model made me realize that all the people could help people even though we were not very rich or not succeeded in some areas. Although Miss Chen did not think herself of as a hero, she really had lots of good influences on the people and the society. And I appreciated and had the greatest respect for her.
