My Winter Vacation

My winter vacation was totally a mess. One day, my mother knocked at my door while I was sleeping. I woke up and opened the door. I could not believe the thing what I saw. I saw our living room was flooded. Water was flowed out from my room. I did not notice that, because I make a bed above the wooden flooring. Water flowed out underneath the wooden flooring. We mopped the foor as soon as possible, but the water still leaked out. At the same time, our neighbors who live upstairs were cleaning up their balconies and windows. They used large water to clean and our living room flooded again. We cleaned up the living room and tried to solve the problem. Then, we decided to put pieces of rags and towels on the floor to absorb water. It really made us feeling upset. The rags were full of water quickly. We twisted out the water from the rags in turn and repeated this action until three days later. The water finally stopped leaking out, but this was not the end of the problem. My family and I went back to the countryside to visit my relatives during the Chinese New year. I had a great time with them. It rained a lot on the day we went back home. I was shocked by the scene I saw, our living room flooded again. I felt frustrated that I had to mop the floor again and again! My room's wall was mildewed. My father said that the pipe in side the wall were broken. We wanted to ask a plumber to check the pipe, but the store were closed during the Chinese New Year vacation. The leaking problem was solved after my brother and I back to school. I hope that next winter vacation will be better than this time. I don't want to see our living room flooded anymore!
