My Feelings About "Emily Lin's Should Parents Give Their Children Pocket Money"

I agree with Emily’s opinion. I think it is good for parents to give pocket money to their children. And I think it is important for parents to judge how much money they have to give to their children. Take my mother for example. I have an older sister and a younger brother. My mother gave us twenty dollars every day when we were in the elementary school. She told us that she couldn’t give us more than twenty dollars except we had to use more money for emergency. We could save money or do housework for gaining more money. At that time, because we were elementary school’s student, we didn’t have any special things to buy. Candies and cookies were the most attractive things to us. Those desserts were cheap, so we didn’t spend much money on them. I remember I sometimes could save fifty dollars a week at that time. I think it is also important for parents to know how their children use pocket money. My mother always checked our school bags because she didn’t want us to spend money on useless things. If we wanted to buy some special things, we all asked mother in advance. But my mother always said we don’t have to buy those things because they were just a trend. They would unpopular soon. Therefore, it affects me that I will think twice before I buy things. After I entered the university, my mother gave me money much more than before. It is easy for me to spend too much money on my interest. I realize that it is important to manage the money. So I asked myself that I have to spend less than one hundred and fifty dollars a day. Until now I think it is a good thing, because I can learn how to save money, manage money and control my desire.
