My Feelings about Beatrice Lai's“How to Play Billiards”

I am different from her. I have played billiards since I was senior high school student because my classmate’s parents own a poolroom. My classmate is not only my friend but also my neighbor. On my way to home I was usually passing his house, so I thought I would stop by for a chat. And he always played billiards with me, and taught me to play it. When I hold the pole for the first time, I felt so excited. Some pole was worn out, so I choose a good one. I can’t wait to learn how to play billiards from my friend. My friend particularized the skill for playing billiard. There is something of his step in Beatrice step. I was very curious about a small chalk too, when I knew its important function for playing billiard. Having a right posture is not easy. He tried hard to castigate my posture. But I felt my limbs and my trunk are stiff as artificial limbs and trunk when I put the posture. I began to sight my pole before I hit and I inspired deeply. After I was ready, I hit the ball. I couldn’t believe that the ball bumped other colors of shots with the white ball, and it made the ball fall into bag. I thought that I was made to be a billiard player. But my friend said “What a coincidence!” After the ball fell into the bag, I tried much time to do that. But it was in vain, it happened by chance. I even hit the cue ball to fell into the bag. It’s not easy to learn to play billiards. But over the course of one month, I learned the basics of playing billiard. Beatrice stressed the important of concentration. My ideas agree with her. I liked to play billiards, so far, I was not very good at it, but as long as I got time I played it. Because it was a good indoor game and I did not get sweaty or get sunburned when I played the game. And I thought the girls played billiards that was very cool. But my father told me that in the earlier Taiwan, the billiards ecology was not perfect exercise, and the billiards place even belongs to “eight big professions”. Most people had the negative impression regarding “the billiards”. But, in recent years along with social convention's opening, as well as the having a mind public figure's promotion diligently. And it got rid of eight big profession bad images.
