Making a new friend

     I do love English especially when I am talking to someone who come from another country. I  can still remember that I desire to talk to him and the lady who is come from China. The reason why I want to talk to them is that they speak in English which is my major but my favorite. I enjoy the time when I am talking to others with different we share a lot of different ideas each other. I meet one person,sunny, who comes from Vietnam ant another two girls who major in mechanical at the swimming pool ; therefore,the first topic we talk about is swimming. Due to the vietnamese, we speak in English and it really will kill the two girls. Interestingly, I have to become the bridge to communicate between them that is to say I am the translator.It is a interesting thing that a name of the man is called sunny. Out of curiosity, I asked him the reason .Generally speaking, it is a girl's name called sunny.However, to my surprise, he said that in his country, sunny is half of name for girls and boys.What a fun job! Although he comes from Vietnam , he does really a good job.We chat during the break and we seem to know each other more.Even in the end , all of us go to buffet together until the time we separate.We exchange our social software as a symbol that we become friends.To my astonishment, I am the youngest among one of us. Sunny is a graduate student and he is going to leave next year. Another are senior students from the same department.
    Suddenly, I think of one question ''Do you know the earthquake which happened last two weeks?''''I know that and  I can feel the earthquake shaking for five seconds like a party!'' he answered.''What? A party? But it is said that the earthquake shake for two to three minutes maybe five!''"Really? I don't know that. I can oly feel for five seconds shaking."he insisted and replied.''Are Vietnamese are different from Taiwanese on feeling?'' I asked myself. Then, i continued to ask him,''Is there any earthquake in your country?'' ''Never ! It is peaceful in my country.''he smiled and answered.''What about typhoons?'' ''Yes, we have typhoons. But in the middle of the land is the most serious area and usually it happens every year.In south, it rarely occurs and the north it happens sometimes. I live in the south so we are peaceful. ''he answered with a satisfaction voice.''Come on, again? peaceful?'' I laughed and replied to him.Because we talked for a while and it made another two girls confused so I translated for them. The two girls praised me and degraded themselves .They even continually shouted ,''My English is so poor.'' Undoubtedly, as they say this words , they made everyone laughed.
     I am glad that I learn English well. Without learning English, I won't know any other people from different countries and cultural difference.After all, it is a universal language, isn't it?
