First, working in the amusement park is a fun fact. This is the best place to work if you like to go on a roller coaster. As an employee in Dorney, you can go on as many rides as you want when you off the work and of course no charges. It is the most exciting moment when you go on the biggest ride called "Steel Force" and survived. For me, I like to go on "Planet Snoopy" rides, which are designed for kids. You might want to ask, why I want to get on these rides? Cause I'm afraid of heights that's why.
Second,I can go to big city to travel when I'm off-work. I went to New York City for traveling and sightseeing four times at least in this summer. New York City is just 90 minutes away from our amusement park, so it is not as far as you think. I love NYC, your dream will come true when you get there. Why I would say that "Your dream will come true when you get there."? It is because NYC is a dream City for me, even though I went there for many times, I'm still dreaming about when I can come here and dream again. The best expression of my feeling in NYC is a song that Alicia Keys sang, "Empire State of mind".
Third, I met new friends in Dorney. Let me introduce my team leader, Aleksandra, who is from Poland. She is the best team leader ever. She is an international student like me, but she came to Dorney fourth times and finally got promoted to be a team leader in our zone3. We live very close, her dorm room is just next to me. I'm so happy to be her friend, she taught me some polish, and I taught her some Chinese. It is the best memory I got with her.
Finally, I would say the working itself is the most important memory of my summer. I love my job here, there's nothing to complain as a whole. If I would complain, it must be the day I almost got robbed by a customer. It was very hot and busy day that I was standing in a tattoo cart outside (not Snoopy Boutique cause I got transferred that day). A lady came by for the cheapest tattoo "tattoo of the week",which is only $5. The standard procedure is to said check-out first to the customer then do the tattoo. In addition, she gave me $10 and I gave her $5 back with no big problem at all, but after I've done with the tattoo, she angrily say I didn't gave her the money back. However, I did give her the money back, I argued with her with polite manners but there's no use. She touched my drawer which was locked and insisted to take the money from my drawer. I've encountered in a danger situation with no police officers and supervisors around. I had nothing to do but give her another $5 bill. She talked dirty words afterwards and left. That is the most horrible experience that I want to complain about.
In conclusion, my 2013 summer in United States is the best. I'm so grateful with my family because they support me with this trip. I'm also very thankful to my lovely coworkers and supervisors that they treat me as treasure. I have laughed the most in this summer and I've never been so happy before, Dorney Park change my life. I'll come back next summer! My motto from now on is keep dreaming!
