Being the president(380)

I have been the president of the Student Association of English Department since June. It is a big change and challenge. In the beginning, my friends and family were astonished at my decision, including myself! Because I commuted and got two part-time jobs, I have only twenty-four hours like any others. I am the kind of person who as long as makes up her mind doing something, she must do her most; I got a landslip in the election finally. It was really a challenge for me because I never knew how to manage a club. I only took part in the activities as a participant one year before, but I have to plan them all by myself now! This summer, I spent most of my vacation in the school preparing the four-day-training for my club partners. On the training camp, I got a lot of touching, shocking, and valuable experiences. They told me that they also learned a lot that they had never known. When the school started, my partners and I focused on the freshmen in English Department; we held camping, uniform party, and Christmas party for them to have a colorful life in their university lives. Getting the chance to lead others; I would rather discuss and negotiate with them than making them obey me reluctantly. They are so important for me that I regard them as my indispensable companions, not subordinates. Others can condemn or frame me up, but they are unable to hurt my partners. The winter vacation is coming; in fact, I worry about us. I am afraid of being lazy because of the leisure time; I am afraid of being indifferent to each other. When the school starts in the February, I will catch their attentions again! And I will give service to the students of English Department with all my heart in the year to come. Well goes the saying, “You gain something, you lose something.” I learned to make good use of the time, because I was a student, a president, and a server. I have to live on my own, so I worked in the Regent Taipei. Unfortunately, the study is the heaviest of the four years; I am trying my best to strike a balance among three of them.
