Reflection: Taiwan, located in the subtropical zone, so a lot of typhoon frequently hit Taiwan every summer and autumn. It always causes much unpredictable disaster, such as landslides, floods, mudslides, and the typhoon is able to destroy buildings, farms, and infrastructure. The most important thing is the people whose lives and property right may be threaten by typhoon. Let’s talk about the tropical country, Philippine, where neighbors on Taiwan. The weather is the same as Taiwan that suffers from hitting by typhoon between May and October. Unfortunately, Philippine is located at the vital communications lines in Asia, therefore the fierce typhoon always hover and wreck the island. Once the typhoon hit Philippine, the country may become chaos and the people may run into homeless or died in the disaster. Short of food and outbreak the highly contagious disease is also a common sight after the typhoon. In my opinion, lack of correct knowledge about precautions against typhoon is the leading problem, hence the death toll are more and more high.
As far as I’m concerned, the authority ought to educate the people how to prepare for and evacuate the typhoon. Prepare for it in advance is a major thing, people need to dredge the gutter for fear that the garbage or leaf stock it. We have to fix the window, potted plant, and signboard. Residents in coastal area and mountain area, there are extremely dangerous area while hitting by typhoon. For this reason, they have to withdraw to safer place in no time. It’s not fearful. Everyone should get used to the violent typhoon, and we also need to take it for granted, because we live in the subtropical zone. No one can deny, if people do the full-prepared, they can defeat the war and they will earn the victory in the end. (302)
