It’s a sad story when we heard that a new-born baby has been abandoned. Most of the abandoned infants are abandoned by juvenile mother. It is a crucial and tough problem about how to deal with the juvenile pregnancy. Most of teenagers do not have the concept of contraception; thus, a regrettable consequence comes after. They are going to face many problems which they are not able to handle.
A juvenile mother is lack of the social experience. They are not as mature as adults. They do not really understand a baby means a responsibility. While adult knows better to take care of baby, teenage mom are not so.
On the mental part, the juvenile mother are pregnant without cautious so they haven’t make a mental preparation. This situation would make them to be caught unawares and result in panic. They feel helpless. We learned from many case that many juvenile mother after gave birth, they throw the infant on the road or public toilet. These instances are result of the helpless feelings; they don’t know how to do so they try to cover it, at least do not let their parents know it.
Teenagers are not economic independent. They still rely on their parents for the money supporting. Lack of the base of economic, to raise children becomes a difficult problem.
The family factor would be issue as well. Which family should the new-born baby belong to? Who should raise the baby? No matter the both of the families want or do not want the baby, there is still a conflict exists.
To decrease the juvenile pregnancy, I think boys and girls are better to be separated into boy’s or girl’s school. The government and school should put more effort on propagating for the teenage sex prevention. The less a juvenile mother, the less a sad story happened.
