Reducing Carbon Dioxide Emissions

According to the official investigation, the temperature of the earth has increased two degrees for the past ten years. We are making new oceans from melted ice in the Poles. Moreover, the green house gases respect no region of nations. It stands for that the global warming and the climate change is going worse day by day. Steve Chu is the President Obama’s Energy Secretary and the winner of Nobel in Physics in 1997.
He said that the science is now very clear. We are boiling the earth. As a member of the world, we need to solve this severe global warming disaster right now. However, we need to realize the causes of global warming.
The first one is over using chemical fuel. As fossil fuel, coal is rich in carbon. When coal is burned, it would combine oxygen together so that it would produce a large amount of carbon dioxide. The temperature goes up and brings about global warming.
Second, people destroy the rainforest. For the sake of obtaining more cultivable lands, people who live in the tropics enormously ruin and burn the rainforest. The disappeared plants cannot turn carbon into oxygen by photosynthesis. In terms of the calculation of Brazil, the carbon dioxide emissions they produced have reached to twenty hundred million tons.
Third, in addition to the carbon dioxide, the sun also relates to the global warming. The main reason is that carbon dioxide gas has blocked the sun heat going back to the universe for 200 years. The 200 years mean to start from the Industrialization which started using fossil fuel to move engines in 1800.
Finally, all we have to do is reduce the carbon dioxide emissions. For instance, we can take public transportation system instead of driving our own car and turn off the unnecessary electric appliance and so on. Certainly, we are responsible for our earth where we live. We should devote ourselves to the lovely earth.
