In Taiwan, night markets are a kind of special culture which foreign countries don’t have. A lot of vendors get together to sell things in the night. When foreigners come to Taiwan, they visit night markets surely. There are many kinds of vendors which selling clothes, food, and so on. There are traditional delicious foods in night markets, such as braised pork rice, pearl milk tea, stinky tofu, oyster omlet, ice shavings, and Spring rolls. The prices of these traditional foods are very cheap and everyone can afford them. In addition, foreign foods are also sold in Taiwan’s night markets. For example, sushi which is invented by Japanese is sold in night markets. People also can buy clothes in night markets. Vendors import clothes from Japan and Korea. In Taiwan, everyone buy the same clothes as Japanese and Koreans’ clothes. People don’t have to go aboard to buy special ones which are different from Taiwan’s. There are many night markets in Taiwan, but every night markets is different. Each one contains the local specialties. If the night market is near a port, it is full of sea food. Some night markets are small, but others are big. Night markets are different between cities and villages. We can introduce night markets to foreigners when they come to Taiwan. It is an important part in our culture.
