Summer was almost end, but I didn’t go anywhere except Taipei. So my dad planed a trip to go Hualie in two days.
In the first day, we passed by many rest stations. There are a lot of delicious foods just like Mochi and famous Hualie taro or Hualie yam. That is very delicious foods. When we arrived the first station "Taroko National Park" which was the second large national park in Taiwan and famous by its marble gorge. We drive along the highway, one of a plot named "Swallow Grotto". There are marble cliffs beside the river, and had a lot of different shape crave on the cliffs. That was so breathe taking. People said that many swallows will build nests in the springtime, that is why it called" Swallow Grotto". We also went to" Cihmu Bridge" It is a beautiful big red bridge. On it head and back had two white stone lions, it also build of local material marble. Look down at the river, we saw a lot of strange shape erodent stones on the riverbed. There also has a story about Cihmu Bridge. Long time ago, a young man rushed out by the flood on this bridge but his mother believed he still survive, so she went to the bridge everyday, waited for her son come back till her died. People were moved by her behavior. Therefore they called this bridge” Cihmu Bridge”
Because we saw many terrains plots, we went to Chisingtan to saw seascape. We walked on the beach, picked up special stones. Suddenly, it came to a big wave that wet everyone’s pans. So we decided to go to the hotel to have a rest. At night, we rode bicycles to night market ate dinner. It almost twelve o’clock when we turned back to the hotel. All of us were exhausted. On the second day, we almost stayed in the car and browsed beautiful scenery.
After this trip, I felt Hualie is a good place to have relaxed. Enjoy nature scenery, have some fresh air and the most important – to get along with our family. If you want to have a short trip, choose Hualie, you won’t disappoint.
